6th Week

Today marked our 6 week as a campus.

We have officially begun two sunday morning experiences.  With a 10 and 11:30 it marks a great way to get more involved, invite those around, and experience God.

I put a slide show of the morning on my Making Difference Makers blog.  You can see more pics [HERE].

This Sunday, August 17th, is the last chance to bring your donations
of unused supplies:

- Crayons
- Pencils
- Wide & College ruled notebook paper
- Glue sticks
- 12″ rulers (wood or plastic)
- Ballpoint pens
- Two-pocket folders (various colors)
- Safety scissors

Please bring your donations to the lobby. Thank you for your generous
donations!

Get Involved In Your Campus

To pull off two Sunday morning experiences it will take the following:

Greeters – 10 (5 Per Each)
Parking – 6 (3 per each)
Guest Relations – 4 ( 2 per each)
Children Workers – 10 (5 per each)
Nursery Workers – 8 (4 per each)
Media Team – 6 (3 per each)
Prayer Partners – 16 (8 per each)
Music – 8 (8 total each sunday…this team does the whole morning)

It takes around 40 people not including our leadership team for us to pull off each Sunday experience….which is perfect for everyone to get involved.  The more people that jump on board means that we can make more of a difference in the 5 Points area.

But it doesn’t stop there….there are going to be other areas where you can get involved and use the gifts and talents and passions God has given you.  Coming soon look for a youth ministry starting…we will need a follow-up team…and we are going to expand our home teams even further in this area.

Let me know how you are going to get involved here in the 5 Points campus.

Praying This Week

As you know Pastor Bil said he would post up what to pray for….you can read his whole blog post [HERE].  If you are praying this week here are the specific things to pray for:

  1. Take time to thank God for this new commitment to pray 1 hour (or more) a week.
  2. Pray for the vision to happen (Fill the house, National TV ministry, 4 more campuses).
  3. Pray for the resources needed, as we approach a commitment weekend, to give above and beyond our regular tithe, to see the vision become a reality.
  4. Pray for me (Pastor Bil) as I am laying out the details of how to pull off our crazy sized vision.

Our 12 Month Goal

I hope you are as excited as I am to be part of Bay Area Fellowship and the 5 Points campus. Pastor Bil spoke this morning about a goal for the next 12 months that he feels God laid on his heart.

Just three words: pray, Pray, PRAY

  1. Pray 100,000 hours as a church…HOW…at least 2,000 people to pray 1 hour a week.
  2. Create a prayer team to pray for needs of people each Sunday during one song
  3. Cd series to walk neighborhood and pray. Free to everyone who signs up to be a prayer partner.
  4. Hometeams to have a prayer vigil…about every 5 weeks a night of prayer in the home team.
  5. All night prayer meetings
  6. Create a prayer walking path around the Corpus Campus to pray
  7. Create a prayer team for each staff member

Don't Miss

Hey everyone…just wanted to let everyone know not to miss @ 5 Points this Sunday.

Pastor Bil is continuing the series “The Price of Vision”.  We spent some time together as a staff this week at our staff retreat and he let the staff know some of what is in store for Bay Area Fellowship over the next year.  I’m jacked about it and I can tell you this is the weekend you want to make sure you are here.

Also if you are not a member of Bay Area yet…this Sunday is your chance.  After our 10 a.m. experience we will be having our Membership class which will give you a in depth look at Bay Area.  Now is the time to jump in and let’s make the 5 Points campus a great church.
