Hey 5 Points…we have a couple of things going on this weekend.

First…Work Day …Saturday, May 2nd beginning at 9 a.m. we will be continuing our work on making the outside of our campus look great.  Landscaping…painting the red building…etc…  bring your shovels and let’s make 5 Points rock outside.

Second…Hometeam Leader Training …Sunday, May 3rd at 11:30 in the outside building we will be training new Hometeam Leaders…contact Richard Wendland for more info at baf5pointshometeams@gmail.com

Third…Membership 101 – Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m.  Come find out more about our where we came from and where we are going as well as what we are all about….Lunch and childcare provided.

Don’t forget this Sunday we will be continuing the Ultimate Fighter series with another great message from Pastor Bil called TapOut.  See you this weekend!!!!!

This Sunday, May 3rd, we will be having Hometeam leader training during the 11:30 service in the red building outside.  If you plan on attending make sure you go to the 10 a.m. service for church.  Since it will be taking place during regular service, there will be childcare available.

I would like to encourage everyone to connect to a Hometeam even if it isn’t as a leader/host.  It is my personal belief that the life change that takes place in a Hometeam is like the Christian faith itself.  By that I mean….From the inside looking out, it’s hard to explain; from the outside looking in it’s hard to understand.  So get on the inside and see the amazing things God will do in your life.  After all, it was the example set by our Savior.

They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity–all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.  And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.   (Acts 2:46-47)

On Saturday, May 2nd, beginning at 9 a.m. we will be turning our focus to the outside of our building.

So many people have commented on the look inside that we believe it is time to start making the outside match up.

Join us as we will be planting some plants, sprucing up our area, painting the “red barn” and many other things.

Each week we average 9 first time guests. Let’s make a great impression on those that step on our campus for the first time each week.

Also if you are available….this Saturday, April 25th, we will be working outside as well. We are going to start with doing some work around the new 5 Points sign out front…if you are available we will be starting at 9 a.m. Let’s take 5 Points to a whole new First Impression level.

We are going to be having a work night, tomorrow, April 15th, from 6 to 9.

Two Projects:
UFC Stage – For our new series starting this weekend called “Ultimate Fighter” we are going to turn our drums area into a UFC octogon ring. We are also going to hang up some other decor to give our stage a Mixed Martial Arts fighting look. If you have any boxing bags, speed bags or the kick boxer dummies…let me know…we would be using it for the next 5 weekends.
Painting – Our last area to never have been finished is our garage door area….we are going to insulate it and paint that area to make it a more attractive nursery entrance/sitting area.

This week is Easter Weekend…we will be having our two normal meeting times at 10 and 11:30 a.m.  Easter is a time where many people are open to Christ and going to church…I want to challenge everyone to invite someone out to 5 Points, as this weekend we will be having a great Easter Message by Pastor Bil.

Also…we have decided to add an 8:30 a.m. meeting time, this weekend only, for those volunteers who may be working in the other two meeting times.  Please note…there will be NO CHILDREN’S ROOMS during this 8:30 time.  All children will be meeting with their parents in the main auditorium.
