• Christmas ARK Project – We are partnering with The ARK by giving these kids a Christmas they won’t forget.  Let’s shower them with love and show them that 5 Points is about GIVING and SERVING.  Check Out The Video Announcement
• Christmas Eve Services - We will not be having Christmas Eve Services at 5 Points but join everyone at the Corpus Campus for Lights and Sounds.  Service times are scheduled for Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm, and 8:00pm.  Tickets will be available this weekend at our campus.
• Christmas Caroling – Join us as we go out and sing carols and then have hot chocolate at the campus.  Sunday, December 21st.

And A Note From Him As Well:

I am at the National Outreach Convention talking about reaching out to your community, while our church prepares to do just that! I want to put a challenge out to everyone at Bay Area. THIS IS THE TIME TO STEP UP! So many churches talk about evangelism, about reaching out, but so few ever target a date, pray specifically for their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family, and then actually bring them to church!

Please don’t make excuses as to why you can’t make it this weekend. If you had had tickets to the Cowboys’ game (or your favorite team), it’s amazing how you would suddenly have the time and priority to figure out how to get there on time, with traffic, and you’d even pay to park!

Please don’t make excuses as to why you didn’t try to bring someone…no excuses will matter in eternity.

Please don’t be frustrated about being asked to bring someone and show that you care about the lost of our community. If you don’t get why I’m challenging you, then you have been saved too long…long enough to forget what it’s like to have no one to pray to, no one to offer you forgiveness and freedom, no prospects of a secured eternity, and no peace of mind. Never forget the salvation we have…the best and most constant reminder is to bring someone this weekend, see their eyes light up, silently pray for them like crazy during the message and during the invitation, and watch as they accept Christ, securing their place in Heaven, and leaving with the joy to know you had a part in that process.

At the end of the day I know our church is full of caring and compassionate people but we must make the connection that being caring and compassionate means reaching out to the un-saved.

All that said, please bring someone this weekend.

What are some things God uses in people to grow His church?  People who have:

• Passion for His presence
• A deep craving to reach the lost
• Sincere integrity
• Spirit-filled faith
• Down-to-earth humility
• Brokenness

When a church finds that these qualities are prevalent throughout it will find itself in a unique position of having God do something special through them.

I know many of you out there have come and have bought in.  I know there are many others that are wondering maybe where they fit in.  I thought I would encourage all of you tonight and let you know what it’s going to take to continue to reach our area..

In the two primary zip codes in the 5 Points area there are over 50,000 people.  We believe that at least half don’t attend any church.  I would actually estimate about 65% of that number don’t attend church.  That means potentially 25,000 to 30,000 people have possibly not heard the message of the Gospel.

One of the reasons God has this campus here and the many of you that live in the 5 Points area is to be a light to this community.  That is why the 5 Points campus is so important.  It’s not important just so we can save gas and time since it may be right around the corner from where we live.  God reaches people through people and that is the reason for all of this.

To reach this area it is going to take:

1)  Serving – Pastor Bil said it so well Sunday night.  It takes us all doing our part and when one of us decides not to show up and serve it is felt.  Let me go on to say that we will never reach our full potential unless people like you get involved in reaching this community.  There are so many areas.  If we can get a stable core of volunteers on Sunday in all areas we can begin to branch out in so many ways.

2)  Reaching Out – I want to reiterate…our campus is here to make it easier for you to reach your friends, family and the many people of this community.  I want to encourage you to begin to pray over 5 people who you want to see come to Christ through our campus and then look for opportunities to invite them.  I believe God will honor your heart cry.

3)  Giving – For those that may not understand just yet…even though our campus is a campus of Bay Area Fellowship…our campus stands on its own financially.  It’s support comes from those that attend and give.  It is awesome to know that God allows us to partner with Him through our finances to reach our area and blesses us in return.  You can give to our campus each sunday or even online at BayAreaFellowship.com
